Built in the remote town of Pemba in northern Mozambique, Pemba Retail Centre provides much-needed retail facilities to the community. The centre is anchored by Shoprite and was designed to be the first phase of a broader Master Plan which aimed to provide offices and housing to meet the needs of the growing economy. The project formed our first venture into Africa and was an incredibly valuable learning experience in working in an extremely remote economy that was in its early stages of development.
