The main feature of the design is a generous courtyard which combines hard and soft landscaping to form a welcoming social space for both children and adults. The architecture is pared-down and simple, drawing on traditional elements while avoiding ornate or decorative details. The material palette is limited to steel, concrete, face brick and timber providing a coherent language that ties the design together.
